early mornings... wow! it is so tasty & what a great feeling....
There is a saying:
A cup of coffee shared with friend (or husband) is like happiness tasted &
time well spent.

mmmm very true....provided my hubby makes a nice filter coffee for me ;)
Well i should admit that my husband makes one of the best coffees . He is so perfect & passionate about it, that he says shayari (well in his broken hindi but very cute though):
woh subha bhi koi subha hai kya jiske pehle raat na ho....
woh subha bhi koi subha hai kya jiske pehle raat na ho, woh breakfast bhi kya
jiske bhaad (after) ek glass coffee na ho.......
(wah wah! wah wah!...me & my son had great fun)

a Coffee Painting....
(yes a painting made with coffee dicoction)
The couples were so happy and pleased with it (he actually enjoyed aroma from the painting..and complimented by saying " this is the most beautiful aromatic painting i have ever come across) & i really felt very happy... :) Thanks to both of them who were such a nice people to us... we miss both of you Anu & Sridhar. ..

The process is very easy...
1. sketch the desired image on a drawing paper
2. take any instant coffee but preferably BRU instant coffee powder
3. mix different amount of water with coffee powder to make different shades of paint
4. using this mixture paint with brush
5. after it dries jazz it up with glitter pen
5. finally prevent the insect attack from spraying varnish recommended for water colors.

Block Printed fabric
I love to do arty things and get inspired to do DIY stuff all the time but so lazy that i need lots of energy to start some project..even if i start doing something most of the time with some reason i stop in the middle ...hence i have lots and lots of unfinished projects...but thanks to my hubby... he pushes me long way to start up & finish few arty stuff... So yesterday he gave me deadline of 1 week to make ready a fabric which he can use it on top of grass mat (Dharbe chaape)...it is very auspicious and right way to be seated while performing prayers he says.... but unfortunately its so pricky uncomfortable....
So this gave me oppurtunity to make use of my arty hands and at same time really wanted to finish project very soon as my son is having holidays & he always wants to try his hand & finaly mess the project...so i opted for Block print... which is really easy & quick....
I really thank my Guru of arts....my sister Shilpa... for the wonderful kalamkari wooden block...very sweet of her she really takes pain to search...get the things done...give ideas...teach me... She is my encyclopedia of arts...love you akka...
So now here is the finished block printed fabric.
Well the process is very simple,....just used few wooden blocks and applied fabric paint to it with brush and stamp the block on fabric in desired pattern... after an hour of drying it ready to use (to fix color on fabric...iron it on reverse side )
few pictures of project in progress...
finally the picture showing the usage of fabric by my son...he liked it & as always appreciated me (like my Mom )...very sweet of them...aaahhhh now hope my hubby likes it too...dont know if he wants it to be adhered to mat... neways .what do u guys think..let me know

Wow... the more i study about these mudras, the more i wonder... why these special gift of yoga is not part of our academic education... seriously ??... With the physical exercise in our schools they can start teaching yoga... for secondary or higher standard students..say from 6th level plus or atleast they can give knowledge about it. Or has its been already introduced....??? I feel we should really think about it...and do some thing for our future generations.....
Well for now atleast we can blog about it...share it so more and more get benefitted... So here goes another set of Mudras...
5. Pran Mudra: Life mudra
7. Apan mudra or Energy mudra: needed for all women specially mothers to handle their hyper active kids as it gives patience, serenity, confidence, inner balance and harmony.
8.Apan vayu mudra or life saver mudra : specially used as first aid for heart attack and in an emergency, quicker effect than placing nitroglycerin under tongue. (which is most frequently used immediate remedy )
9. Back mudra: finally very effective mudra for all of us who works on computer for long hours.
this mudra is more effective in a position that relieves back as shown in picture below
by pulling the chin a bit so that the neck is stretched.
Hope this post was of some information and pls let me know if you need information about any other important or particular mudra , will try my best to answer and also you can share if you know any...

Mudras for health and well being Part-1
Feeling very low after frequent attacks of virus leading to flu....suffering...pain... God ! am desperately looking for help which can immune N build resistance power to my 4 yrs old son..... Interestingly today i found a very amazing fact which is different from all other healing and practise through medication, consuming nutritional food, walking or playing in open sky fresh air, sunshine and many blah blah.....
This wonderful thing is none other than hand gestures or MUDRAS of yoga (connecting different parts of body in particular manner). Which i have been using right from my childhood days...in form of classical dancing. Wow... i never realised that mudras which is used as expression in Bharatnatyam is so beneficial for healthy and well being...well its a eye opener for me as all this dance and yoga everything is interconnected... hope to make this as practise atleast now in form of yoga....
MUDRAS:
1. Jnana mudra
4. Varuna mudra or Water mudra
