Season of Blessings are here...

Happy Krishna Janmashtami to all my friends....

The marathon of festivals has begun... it is a nice feeling with all refreshing atmosphere and praying mode...
Its such a blessing to be in midst of this wonderful surrounding...so colorful..so traditional...so artistically decorated...places filled with all the flowers..fragrances... fruits...savouries(mmm varieties n yummy)...ethnic costumes....happy people... and what not.... i love it....aaahhhh such a treat to eye and also to stomach......
but alas....so far from home country i can only imagine it now... but again blessed with all innovations... we can atleast feel it virtually  through blogs...facebook n blah blah...if not treat for stomach atleast its a treat for eyes.. :)

Neways we at our home here  try to celebrate and bring back the atmosphere if not in large scale but atleast to some extent....so here is the pic of krishna janmashtami.... (flower alankara in my style of tablescape)

here the Krishna is decoupaged...

I always liked the krishna images from iskon... small tiny ones but so beautiful didnt know what to do out of it for long time... also once in a goodie bag had recieved this tiny saucer and mug which had a weird food festival print on it.... ah never liked it though.... and one fine day "ting" idea struck...hence decoupaged image on it and the thick blue background  actually the glass paint i blotted a little so as to cover the edges of cut image and also to get glazed effect.... now its my favourite piece for tablescaping... love it... let me know what do u guys think about it and how did you celebrate the birthday of krishna....

well one of my friend very thoughtfully posted a link of BhagavadGita verse from a clips of mahabharata the teleseries we grew up with...so for a nostalgia

Happy Janmashtami and may god bless all beings...
